Mulranny in Mayo in the West of Ireland
Arriving at Mulranny, (Hill of the Ferns), you
encounter an idyllic seaside village located
on the isthmus between Clew Bay and
Blacksod Bay. Mulranny is the home of
colourful giant fuchsias and exotic plants.
This natural profusion of colour and plant life
is celebrated each summer during the
Mulranny Mediterranean Heather Festival.
Long sandy beaches and a mild climate ensure that Mulranny is a favourite
location for families. The Corraun Peninsula, which contains three mountain
peaks provides incredible views. Shore fishing is a must for angling
enthusiasts and visitors are invited to relax in a pleasant and friendly
ambience in local pubs in the evenings.
